The service operates as a free-to-play prediction game covering the tournament's 48 teams and 104 scheduled matches. Participants submit forecasts for fixtures without paying entry fees. A central mechanic involves comparing user accuracy against Gerrard's own predictions, creating a direct competition between fans and the ambassador.
Adrian Pierce, CEO of WE88, stated that the platform aims to involve fans in the tournament journey regardless of their engagement level. He noted that the initiative extends beyond the World Cup, carrying momentum into the 26/27 football season with additional prize opportunities.
WE88 officially appointed Gerrard as the ambassador in March of this year.
